Commencement Ceremony

Over the past four years, I have played a pivotal role in orchestrating the commencement ceremonies at CSU Pueblo, working closely with Commencement Director Gena Alfonso. My responsibilities spanned a comprehensive array of tasks crucial for the ceremonies' success, highlighting my versatility and commitment to excellence.

A significant area of my expertise lies in guest ticketing. I developed and implemented a highly efficient system, ensuring accessible and organized entry for over seven thousand guests in some years. This system not only facilitated a smooth admission process but also underscored the importance of inclusivity and hospitality in large-scale events.

Volunteer logistics were another cornerstone of my contribution. I meticulously organized volunteer roles, schedules, and tasks, ensuring that each individual was well-prepared and positioned to enhance the event's success. This strategic deployment of volunteers was instrumental in maintaining order and efficiency, crucial for the seamless execution of such a large event.

I was also in charge of signage and wayfinding, where I designed and supervised the placement of clear, intuitive signs throughout the venue. This initiative was key to helping guests, graduates, and staff navigate the event space effortlessly, contributing significantly to a positive and stress-free experience.

Leading the audiovisual teams, I managed the technical aspects critical to the modern commencement ceremony's atmosphere and flow. From sound and lighting to video presentations, my leadership ensured that every technical detail was executed flawlessly, amplifying the impact of speeches and performances.

Through my dedicated efforts in these areas, I have significantly enhanced the CSU Pueblo commencement ceremonies over the last four years. My role in managing guest ticketing, volunteer logistics, signage, and leading audiovisual teams, alongside handling the challenges of accommodating over seven thousand guests in some years, has been instrumental in creating memorable, well-organized events that honor the achievements of graduates in the most splendid manner possible.
