In May 2023 for our commencement ceremony we needed to select a commencement speaker for the ceremony. We decided to select our high profile alumna, and Fox News Anchor, Dana Perino. This was a relationship that our three person Advancement team (myself included) stewarded. We coordinated Dana coming to the ceremony to speak and then coordinated a special ceremony the evening of commencement to present Dana with an honorary doctorate degree.
Our charge? To create a high impact, high detailed and bespoke event experience to present the honorary doctorate degree to her. This event included a special curated guest list, food pairings, a signature cocktail, carefully selected decor, as well as a perfectly curated playlist and run of show. The event was held as an evening ceremony in the opulent gardens of The Abriendo Inn.
The event was a huge success and left attendees talking about how much they enjoyed the event and experience.
